Name:Harry Xu
Bio:

I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Before joining UCLA, I was an Associate Professor at UC Irvine (UCI). I am interested in developing PL and systems techniques to solve real-world problems. In the past, I have designed and implemented static and dynamic techniques to find and fix “runtime bloat” that exists widely in object-oriented software. My recent interests center on (1) how to exploit language/compiler techniques to build scalable Big Data systems and (2) how to build Big Data systems to parallelize and scale sophisticated program analyses.
