A number of social events are held during SPLASH.
Sunday’s Welcome Social
A welcome reception with drink tickets and an open bar is on Sunday for all registered attendees in the Terrace Room at the Park Plaza. This is an opportunity to meet the workshop attendees and GPCE and SLE crowd. (Open to all)
Sunday’s Student Volunteer Dinner
The student volunteers working on the conference are going out to Beerworks for dinner, and, beers, because everyone like beer. (Only for Student volunteers)
Monday’s Poster Reception
The SPLASH Posters will be presented in the Terrace Room, drinks will be served with tickets and an open bar. (Open to all)
Tuesday’s Social
A reception with drink tickets and an open bar is on Tuesday for all registered attendees in the Terrace Room. (Open to all)
Tuesday’s GPCE/SLE Dinner
The GPCE and SLE conferences are organizing a dinner off-site. (GPCE/SLE)
Wednesday’s Open meeting and Poster Reception
The SPLASH open meeting features awards, a short presentation by the OOPSLA program chair (Manu Sridharan) and the SIGPLAN chair (Jens Palsberg). This is followed by the SPLASH Poster presentation and the Student Research Competition. Drinks will be served with tickets and an open bar. (Open to all)
Thursday’s Social
A reception with drink tickets and an open bar is on Thursday for all registered attendees in the Terrace Room. (Open to all)
Thursday’s Sponsors Reception
A small events will be held to thank sponsors, keynote speakers and organizers. (By invitation)
Friday’s T-shirt Social
The t-shirt social is our goodbye to SPLASH, remaining SPLASH t-shirts will handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. Drinks will be served with tickets and an open bar. (Open to all)
Breakfasts
Breakfast will be served every morning with 10 Gallons of “Freshly brewed New England regular coffee” (at $98/Gal), 3 Gallons of decaffeinated coffee, and 5 Gallons of “Hot Water with a Selection of Fine Teas” (at $98/Gal), Assorted Danish Pastries ($72/Dozen), Freshly baked bagels, sweet butter, cream cheese, fruit preserves, Toaster station at ($72/dozen), Individual Greek Yogurt and Granola Parfait, Fresh Berries, Mandarin Orange Honey ($8 each) Assorted Whole Fruit ($42/Dozen), and Hard Boiled Eggs ($48/Dozen).
Breaks
Two coffee breaks with 10 Gallons of “Freshly brewed New England regular coffee”, 3 Gallons of decaffeinated coffee, and 5 Gallons of “Hot Water with a Selection of Fine Teas”.
Lunches
Lunch will be served during the OOPSLA conference (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). Sample menu: Vegetarian Chick Pea and Lentil Soup; Tabbouleh Salad with Tomato, Mint, and Parsley; Romaine Lettuce with Cucumber, Feta, Tomato, Red Onion, Marinated Olives, and Spicy Lemon Vinaigrette; House Made Falafel, Warm Pita, Tahini, Shredded Lettuce and Tomato; Grilled Chicken Kabobs; Grilled Beef Kabobs; Saffron Rice; Roasted Zucchini, Squash and Eggplant; Petite Fresh Fruit Tarts; Freshly Brewed New England Regular and Decaffeinated Coffee Selection of Fine Teas.
