Building AArch64 Support for the Eclipse OMR Language Runtime Toolkit
In this talk, we will give an overview of the relevant components of the Eclipse OMR Language Runtime Toolkit including the compiler technology, platform porting library, threading library, signal handling and language independent testing framework. From this overview, we will talk about what we have thus far integrated into AArch64, i.e. build systems, continuous integration, binary encoding and instruction opcodes, code generation and tree evaluation. This talk will not only focus on the implementation aspects of AArch64 support, but will also include discussions on lessons learned during our project that can be shared for other platform support.
