Data Programming (DP) is a new method for building graphical applications that equates a program with an in-memory tabular database. This programming environment is analogous to building and maintaining a database except that instead of using an external resource, DP’s in-memory database represents the entire unified program, including all graphical components and rendering functions. By defining functions as columns within the tables, sophisticated functions that are frequently executed or need quick responses, such as the rendering loop and other User Interface events, can be defined completely within the tabular structures.
